ProjectWise Level 3 Connector
With ProjectWise Level 3 connector, you can fully control documents using a Change Package system. The Reference Registration mode ensures that the file is always controlled by ProjectWise, even though the document changes are handled by the AssetWise Change Package system.
Note: It is assumed that the
file names are unique within
AssetWise and
ProjectWise. It is your responsibility to ensure
that all filenames are unique, otherwise duplicate instances of the filename
will prevent files from being created.
The AssetWise ALIM ProjectWise Connector Level 3 connector provides full document control using the Change Package system.
The following file behaviors are specific to the Reference
Registration mode:
- Files that match the ProjectWiseNativeFileType andProjectWiseNativeDocumentCopies settings will integrate with ProjectWise
- The physical file only resides in ProjectWise
- The file does not need to be added to the AssetWise document prior to registering with ProjectWise
- A file that is added to an AssetWise document after registration with ProjectWise, will automatically be moved over the ProjectWise document
- The file can also be added to the ProjectWise document after it has been registered from AssetWise
- Any additional files added to the AssetWise document after the first file will physically remain only in AssetWise.
